Spanish national team call two additional players for two games ahead of Euro 2012 warm up. They are two Chelsea players, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata. Torres and Mata previously prepared in the squad for the match against Serbia at the St. Gallen (26/5) and South Korea in Bern (6/6). This is related to both participation in the Champions League final with his club.
However, after delivering Chelsea to be champions and their condition is not injured, Torres and Mata were included for the two parties in the Swiss trials. "National team coach, Vicente Del Bosque, calling Chelsea players Fernando Torres and Juan Mata. Two international players will join the squad on May 25 in St. Gallen," according to the Spanish Football Federation on its website, as quoted by Sky Sports.
Until now, Del Bosque has not called his players Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao. Therefore, those players still have to defend his club in the Copa del Rey final. In the European Cup, Spain's status as defending champion in Group C and will fight against Italy, Croatia, and Republic of Ireland.
