Naked Truth Bazaar Vs. Allure’s Bare It All April - May 2010-2011

Naked Truth Bazaar Vs. Allure’s Bare It All April - May 2010-2011

Summer is definitely in the air as two (fashion) magazines go for clothes-less pictorials. Harper’s Bazaar’s Naked Truth with Kim Kardashian has made quite some waves given the specifications: unretouched, not-photoshopped.

Kim Kardashian’s un-airbrushed body, however, doesn’t hold many secrets anymore (neither does she en entier, but that’s another story) so it’s pretty unfair that she got all the attention even though there’s also Joy Bryant and Amanda de Cadenet in the same story, authored by Amanda herself. Now let’s take a step further and look at Allure’s May 2010 issue. With yet another clothes less story with clothes less celebs. Only this time, nobody tells you there’s no Photoshop involved. Catherine Zeta-Jones’ move, to show her body it’s a brave act because of her age, not because of what she’s standing for doing this pictorial.

And what a stunning woman she is, no doubt about it! Had no interest or desire in seeing her with no clothes on, but I guess someone must have had! Alongside Catherine (not physically/photographically but side by side in a page matter of speaking) more famous faces (and bodies) joined the no-textile wave by showing off their physical assets: Emmanuelle Chriqui, Colbie Caillat, Kara DioGuardi, Jessica Capshaw, Regina Hall.
