An hour later after I had my dinner (brain fuelled!!) then I decided to look this human up on google (didn't thought of this earlier) DUN DUN DUN. It ruled out the possibility that the monsoon rains would fail.
While Dr Manmohan Singh's government has lurched from one crisis to another and serious differences within his coalition have placed almost all reforms on hold, fear of a failed monsoon is the one thing which unites his fractious cabinet and Indian business leaders alike. . In the past few weeks temperatures in New Delhi have plummeted, raising concerns that the searing heat and dust needed for a torrential monsoon will not come, causing crops to fail and inflation to soar once again.
If the weathermen's forecast is correct, India's problem remains a longer term one. How to revive a 'flagging' growth rate of 7pc back towards the double-digit figure the country had in its sights barely two years ago.
According to S&P and Moody's, the root cause of the disappointing performance lies in the country's government. S&P said last week that India's rating could deteriorate further if "the external position continues to deteriorate, growth prospects diminish or progress on fiscal reforms remains slow in a weakened political setting."
Moody's appeared to lay the blame for India's plight at the feet of the Gandhi family which controls the Congress Party, the leading group in the governing coalition. Sonia Gandhi and the party's heir Rahul Gandhi "blew their chance" to revive a programme of reforms in parliament by wasting their time campaigning in the Uttar Pradesh state elections, in which the party was humiliated and the government further weakened.
Prime minister Manmohan Singh had hoped to introduce a series of foreign investment and tax reforms to further open up the country's markets and make it an easier place for foreign and domestic companies to do business. But plans have been mothballed because the governing coalition partners cannot agree.
Plans to reduce government spending on fuel and other subsidies have been halted, while the widely quoted $1 trillion India must spend on upgrading infrastructure from roads to power plants has yet to leave the government's coffers.
A general air of gloom was compounded when the government's chief economic advisor Kaushik Basu warned a Washington think tank not to expect any reforms until a stronger government is elected after the 2014 elections. "We are going through a difficult year. (After 2014), you would see a rush of important reforms and after 2015 India would be one of the fastest growing economies of the world. The new government, if in a majority, would start with the reforms in a big way because there is a sense that it needs to pick up," he said.

(NSI News Source Info) TORONTO, Canada - April 29, 2012: The Centre recently turned down an air force request to participate in the war games with the US navy in the Bay of Bengal that concluded last week.
The seven-day Malabar 2012 exercise involved the American and Indian navies.
The Centre’s move followed a quiet policy decision in the defence ministry to scale down — but not stop — the friendly military engagements with the US armed forces, which have gathered pace and increased in complexity over the past decade.
The defence ministry is wary of the “hype” that the US builds around joint military exercises with India.
Among the most important of the war games that the Indian and US forces conduct is the Malabar series involving the two navies. An air force component is integral to the exercises because the US deploys a carrier battle group.
The Malabar exercise in 2007 in the Bay of Bengal involved the armed forces of five countries and was easily the largest international war games that India has hosted. The exercise involved three aircraft carriers and the Indian Air Force (IAF).
That drill irritated the Chinese so much that Beijing asked New Delhi if it was forging a military alliance against it.

(LMT) (LMT) F-16 fighter jets, a White House official said, creating a potential new flashpoint with China ahead of next week’s high- level meetings between U.S. and Chinese officials.
A jet sale “warrants serious consideration given the growing military threat to Taiwan,” Robert Nabors, the White House’s director of legislative affairs, said in a letter yesterday to Senator John Cornyn, a Texas Republican.
The comments risk spawning a political clash with China as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner prepare to meet their Chinese counterparts in Beijing next week for annual talks. China, which insists that Taiwan be reunited with the mainland by force if necessary, has cut military contacts with the U.S. in the past over American arms sales to the island.
“This is going to cause huge problems for the Chinese,” Bonnie Glaser, an analyst at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, said in an interview. The tension may be compounded if a human-rights group’s speculation bears out that an activist who escaped house arrest in eastern China this week is holed up at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, she said.
New F-16 C/D fighters would replace aging F-5 jets and supplement a refurbishment program for Taiwan’s F-16 A/Bs that President Barack Obama’s administration announced in September.

9.33 Termina la conferencia y Guardiola se va entre aplausos. Buenos días.
9.32 Guardiola explica que "yo salgo, no intervengo más. Hablaré con él porque me lo ha pedido, pero si participara seguiría de entrenador. Después de la final de Copa (del Rey ante Athletic) estoy fuera".
9.31 Respecto de su futuro, Guardiola insiste en que "necesito tiempo, no hay prueba más grande que entrenar al Barcelona para una persona nacida a 60 kilómetros del Camp Nou".
9.29 Pep agrega que "el presidente me ofreció algún cargo, pero necesitaba estar fuera de toda la locura del fútbol para llenarme de nuevo".

Entregarle a un entrenador uno de los equipos más importantes del mundo es una responsabilidad muy grande. Y si se lo entrega a alguien que nunca ha dirigido en primera división, la responsabilidad se transforma también en una apuesta. Pero así lo hizo Joan Laporta, presidente del Barcelona en 2008, cuando presenta a Josep Guardiola como el reemplazante de Frank Rijkaard en la banca de los catalanes. "Pep", con experiencia sólo en el "Barcelona B", tenía que tomar a un equipo que venía de ganar dos Ligas, dos Supercopas de España y una Champions League con el entrenador holandés. Pero la falta de recorrido o lo grande del desafío no fueron problemas para Guardiola, quien en su primera temporada consiguió los seis títulos que disputó: Liga, Champions, Copa del Rey, Supercopa de España y de Europa y el Mundial de Clubes. Y de paso comenzó a construir la "paternidad" sobre el Real Madrid con una goleada por 6-2 en el Santiago Bernabéu, algo que definitivamente demostró que el equipo de "Pep" jugaba un peldaño por sobre todos los demás. Los triunfos y el nivel de juego pusieron obligatoriamente a los catalanes en la discusión para ser el mejor equipo de la historia, junto con el Madrid de Di Stéfano, el Santos de Pelé y el Milan "holandés", por nombrar algunos. Lo cierto es que las vitrinas del Barcelona necesitaban de más especio con la cantidad de copas que Guardiola y sus jugadores le dieron al club.
